Il desiderio illusorio dell’umanità di raggiungere l’immortalità appare vano e forse persino futile. Tuttavia, per coloro che non sono più tra noi, la loro longevità è testimoniata dall’infinito amore che continuano a ricevere dal mondo dei mortali. Sono già trascorsi cinque anni dalla morte del celebre pittore italiano Luciano Ventrone. All’età di 79 anni, la lunga e felice vita di Ventrone può essere descritta attraverso la sua dedizione alla pittura del mondo naturale. E sebbene la sua presenza fisica ci abbia lasciati, la venerazione del mondo dell’arte per le sue opere continua a mantenerne viva l’eredità. Questa mostra vuole ricordare le sue rappresentazioni surreali di una realtà naturale di cui egli stesso non fa più parte. L’eredità serve a fare in modo che il nome di Ventrone non venga dimenticato. Smettere di essere amati è una morte insopportabile.

Humanity’s wishful desire to achieve immortality seems vain and perhaps even futile. However, for those who are no longer with us, their longevity is proven by the endless love they continue to receive from the mortal world. Five years have already passed since the death of renowned Italian painter Luciano Ventrone. At 79 years of age, Ventrone’s long and blissful life could be characterized by his dedication to painting the natural world. And while his physical presence has left us, the art world’s reverence for his creations carries on his legacy. This exhibition is a reminder of his surreal representations of a natural reality, one of which he is no longer a part. Legacy serves to ensure that Ventrone’s name is not forgotten. To cease to be loved is an unbearable death.
